We was looking for our regular hotel since revisiting the Newburgh inn since new management had took over and really gone down hill and we have found it! This place is amazing! awesome rooms great food and friendly staff made our stay fantastic, planning on another trip September so as the saying goes I’ll be back
This is such a a nice hotel. I hate to rate the room as a 4 star but our room was on the street side and the unseasonably hot weather made the room almost unbearable. We could not open the windows because the pub below is had a door where customers gathered to smoke and it just came up through the window in the evening. The beds were comfortable. The bathroom was good. Maybe a fan for the front rooms would make a huge difference for comfort. Restaurant was good and staff was very helpful. We would stay again for a good location but request a rear room!
Visited last night arrived early for our booking though wasn’t a problem was guided to table given menus to read over for kitchen opening at 5 food arrived quick hot and tasted good mixture of courses for 5 and all hot and full of flavour family were happy with there puddings which went down a treat reasonably priced
Great little hotel. Room was compact, but cosy, nice and warm. The food is superb here, the restaurant seems busy from non residents. Will return again if I'm in the area.
A cove a small sheltered bay and the cove bay hotel is right on that cove and are seriously doing everything right let's pop in my friends family fellow travellers another review for a wonderful place, My friends and I were in cove last week and we thought we would stop by so very glad we did from start to finish everything was 5 star the staff the food the ambience delightful, So we sat down in the well presented clean and welcoming restaurant to peruse the menu what a selection! We were hungry! I opted for the venison with vegetables and a jus my friend opted for the macaroni cheese we sat back enjoying the bustling place and waited for our food, Our meals arrived and you could see straight away this was great cooking the macaroni perfect with the loveliest cheese topping it was lovely my venison wow stunning perfectly cooked fresh delicious meat with the loveliest vegetables this was such a great dish, we both enjoyed our food so very much it was that good! Sitting back after our lunch we just couldn't help but say what a fabulous place the staff were wonderful so friendly the owner such a gentleman and lovely man, they really do go that extra mile at the cove bay and it was a delight to eat there so if your in cove bay you know where to go folks guaranteed a lovely time thank-you to all and thank-you for following my reviews peace Barry allan
Just returned home after a wonderful stay at the cove bay hotel . From start to finish it was perfect . We spent some time in the bar in the afternoon - the staff were chatty and friendly . Just what you want and the atmosphere was really enjoyable too . At tea time the service was top notch and the food was fantastic . Both our meals were great and it seemed everyone in the busy dining area were having a lovely evening . We loved our room too . We asked for one that wasn’t up too many steps and we were given one that was pretty much on the same level as all the facilities - thanks so much ! Our room was lovely and cosy even with the wind howling outside . Finally , breakfast - once again food and service was first class and we left with full bellies ! This hotel has been one of our favourite nights away and we will defo return ( soon I hope !) Thanks again to all the staff - you’re great .
After our first spot cancelled on us we searched around on the internet and found this gem. Old fashioned Inn with very nice and clean rooms. It has a pub attached and everything. It's a spot with an old history to it but with modern amenities. I've never stayed in a spot like it before. The restaurant is excellent, the staff are very hardworking and it's obvious customer service is a priority. My wife and I loved everything about it. Cheers from Canada
Once again our family (8) had a superb pre Christmas lunch. Without any issues and the staff were all attentive. Highly recommend the Cove Bay Hotel I also had a special birthday here
